Midna Photo Manipulation
Photo manipulation completed July 2017 using Photoshop. The watermark shown on the image belongs to my own Cosplay facebook page, this image is my own. I choose to keep the tag on there for anyone interested in viewing that part of my life, see facebook.com/visiversecp for more cosplay related items. The photo started as the girl standing against a plain wall, I was asked by a friend to transform it into a scene from the game. I replicated the twilight markings on to a slab of stone and created a spooky background. This was a fun piece to work on.

Photo manipulation completed May 2016 using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I wanted to capture the power, but also the sultry nature of the character. Scarlet Witch utilizes a wispy red magic with great and destructive power. I made several changes to the original photograph to make my subject look more like a comic book character against the backdrop of what could be a dim city. The watermark shown on the image belongs to my own Cosplay facebook page.
Color relation study and photo manipulation exercise completed January 2017 using photoshop. I wanted to use some of my own images along side stock images to explore color relation and storytelling within a single image. This compellation carries through soft elements of this character’s journey.
Photo manipulation completed ____ for Digital Media 1 using Photoshop. This image was created for a class project in which we combined more than one image into a single composition using masks, layers and basic Photoshop tools. I found a stock image of marbles on a table and this idea came to life. Nasa provides many free and public use photos so it was easy finding resources to fill each marble with. The end result is one of my favorite photo edits.
Photo manipulation completed April 2017, using Photoshop. My subject posed in a vacant balcony area, a mess of chairs and rails in the background. I used masking techniques and the pen tool to accurately remove my subject from the scene and create a more fitting fantasy skyway. I used layering blurs to create a motion effect and depth of field on the character and a blur of red left behind by the sword. The watermark shown on the image belongs to my own Cosplay facebook page.
Maya Animation, Fall 2013. This animation was for an assignment in which we had to create a Rube Goldberg device and animate a scene including at least one Norman character. I really enjoyed working on this animation, it was the first animation I got to do in Maya. The story, modeling and surfacing were all done within the first three weeks and the rest of the class focused on learning how to use the norman rig to prepare us to animate our scene. All items in the scene aside from the characters were modeled by myself and all of the elements were surfaced and animated by me as well.
Forest Sprite Animation
Flash Animation, Spring 2013. Assignment for Digital Media 3 to create an animation that contained a transformation and a walk cycle. This was one of my favorite projects to work on that sparked my interest in animation. I created the character in Illustrator and ported her into flash. I spent the most time animating the walk cycle to capture her sassy step and the flower growth. The animation was made in chronological order as we learned how to do different things in flash to progress our animation so you may notice that it gets better over the span of the animation.
3D Animation, Maya, Fall 2014. Take a brief journey to the great beyond with this spaceship animation that was modeled, surfaced and animated by me. I spent the greatest amount of time getting the scene to render with the reflections just the way I wanted. I first struggled with lighting that would work in the space setting and resolved the issue with a directional light from the sun and glow on the planets. I also used a 3D surface on the spaceship to create an interesting glint when the sunlight would pass over the ship.
MokiMoki 2015, Character Rigging, Maya. Character modeled, textured and rigged by me for a class assignment. Most of the time was spent in the character creation process from sketch to 3D and then providing a skeleton to move. This animation was proof that the skeleton was functional.
